Iker Pintado García

Senior Software Engineer Backend & Data

I build reliable products and backend systems with Python, Java and distributed technologies.

Although I specialise in backend and data, I also get involved in frontend development and user experience when the project requires it.

I like owning the full journey: understanding a need, designing a maintainable solution, taking it to production and continuing to improve it with product context.

My work spans implementation, technical design, coordination and service ownership.

Product, data and connected devices

I am involved in launching an in-house teleassistance product from an early stage through to its progressive deployment. Within the data analysis team, I work on services, data flows and internal tools that turn information generated by connected devices into useful product capabilities.

End-to-end ownership

Design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and evolution.

02

Incremental quality

A pragmatic testing foundation for moving forward without slowing the product down.

03

Product context

Technical decisions connected to users and stakeholders.

04

Solving technical challenges

Making technical decisions and turning open-ended problems into solid solutions while building a product from scratch.

Experience

Backend, data and product in context

I have worked in banking, high-traffic platforms, connected products, applied AI and data environments. Each stage contributes a different piece; together, they shape how I work today.

Personal projects

Building out of curiosity too

Outside my main job, I maintain several projects to learn and practise different technologies, test ideas and keep building products without needing to turn every experiment into a large project.

How I work

Autonomy without working in a bubble

I like moving forward independently, making decisions and taking responsibility for the outcome, without losing sight of the team, the product or the people who will use or maintain what I build.

01

Autonomous

I research, propose and take work through to production, while knowing when to validate a decision before moving forward.

02

Pragmatic

I look for clear, maintainable solutions that are proportionate to the problem, avoiding complexity that adds no real value.

03

Careful

I care about the details that help a system hold up over time: testing, observability, maintainability and a good user experience.
